"These songs were really the beginning of my answer to a call I had been feeling for quite a while, putting my feet down on the pavement. My life had changed drastically over the course of several years…some of my deepest relationships had ended, I had lost loved ones, and I moved away from my home of nearly 17 years. As I let the newfound time and space settle in, I found I had a few things to say and do - air some grief, express some love, and bang on some electric guitars. I found myself tinkering with a few hooks and grooves over a year’s worth of time - mostly wanting an entire song to inhabit one moment of deep feeling. Demos fermented and became the shiny and wide open recordings you can hear now"
